This auction is for a 2000 VW Volkswagen GTI 5 speed with the VR6 engine. NOTE: It will be sold as parts or repair. The right front fender needs to be replaced. The leather interior is in poor condition. The tires were replaced 1000 miles ago. The mileage reads 190,000 + but if car faxed it will show less. The dash cluster was replaced with a used part with a high odometer reading. The clutch and transmission are very good. It has new rear disc pads. The motor runs strong but it has a coolant leak in the plastic coolant crossover pipe. It needs replacing, but is an expensive job. The title is here and it has no liens. Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 60+ photos and read this enire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Volkswagen GTI with the desirable six speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this GTI to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking little hatch. It is finsihed in Reflex Silver over plaid interior, which is a good color combination. The silver finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific GTI, there is some corrosion visible around the wheel openings, which is common. The only damage worth disclosing is a dent in the right quarter panel, which should be visible in the photos. It should be a fairly easy fix, it you want to repair it. The dent is pretty shallow and there is no visible damage to the paint. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory adaptive xenon headlights do an excellent job at lighting up the road at night. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this GTI came in. I would also rate the interior of this GTI to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The cloth insert is coming off of the right door, which is common. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The deeply bolstered sport seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors, and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It is too cold to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works great. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this GTI came in. Mechanically, this Volkswagen appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.0L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The sport suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and adds smooth power. The check engine light was on when this GTI came in. The code was for a mass airflow meter. Whatever the issue is, there doesn't seem to be any negative impact on how the car drives. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the desirable six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. With just 146k miles, this desirable GTI is just broken in and appears to be completely stock. If you're looking for a GTI to have some fun in, this one deserves a close look.
